Established in the spring of 2010, the English Society has been a constant of the undergraduate literary community at the University of Iowa for over a decade. With trademark events like the annual Lit Walk at the beginning of the fall semester and the Tea Party towards the end of the spring semester, the English Society endeavors to connect undergraduates to the literary community at the university and beyond.
Our Mission
The English Society exists to provide a platform and programming for undergraduate students interested in English literature, creative writing, and social and service work. Furthermore, we will act as a liaison between the English student body and the English Department.
